Royal Dental College runs an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) from 2016 constituted as per the UGC Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and Students in Higher Educational Institutions Regulations, 2015 to receive and redress complaints of sexual harassment. The purpose of this body would be to address the complaints of sexual harassment and assist the victims to protect their dignity at the college.
The Committee shall compulsorily meet twice a year or as and when necessary
Objectives:
- To ensure the implementation of the policy in letter and spirit through proper reporting of the complaints and their follow-up procedures.
- To uphold the commitment of the Institute to provide an environment free of gender based discrimination.
- Prevent discrimination and sexual harassment, by promoting gender amity among students and employees
- Makerecommendations to the management for changes/elaborations in the Rules for students
- Deal with cases of discrimination and sexual harassment against women, in a time boundmanner, aiming at ensuring support services to the victimized and termination of theharassment;
- Recommend appropriate punitive action against the guilty party to the Management.

How To Approach The Committee In Case of Any Complaint
Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the committee members in person, or in case the person is unwilling to appear in self, grievances may be dropped in writing at the letterbox of Internal Complaints Committee at Academic block. Grievances may also be sent through e-mail to id’s or as messages to whtasaap numbers displayed next to complaint box.
