INCUBATION CENTRE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL PATHOLOGY

The incubation centre of the Department of General Pathology has a good collection of gross pathological specimens of various diseases which help the students to learn the subjects in an impressive manner. It is also equipped with facilities for blood grouping as a part of regular curriculum.

INCUBATION CENTRE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ANATOMY

The incubation centre of the Department of Anatomy has a good infrastructure with a dissection hall, histology lab, dry specimens of bones of head and neck, articulated skeletons, and wet specimens of Head & Neck region. The research facility at the incubation centre has Trinocular microscope with superb bloom coated antifungus objective set Rs.29,500/-. Few of the research projects conducted by the undergraduates include the following:

1. Relating Inferior Alveolar Nerve in Osteology, Panoramic Radiograph and CBCT

2. Facial expressions and muscles involved

3. TMJ – Normal Anatomy and Functional Radiograph

4. Sex estimation using morphological traits of the skull

5. A Modelling art project of making facial expressions

6. An anatomical study of nerve blocks in dentistry

The incubation centre of the Department of Oral Pathology has a budding Immunohistochemistry (IHC) lab and research microscopes for undertaking various short research study projects.

INCUBATION CENTRE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOLOGY

 

The incubation centre of the Department of Physiology is well equipped with latest equipments such as Digital Spirometer, Heart rate variability device, Stadiometer, Digital Glucometer, Centrifuge, Clinical Couch, Digital and manual Sphygmomanometer, Binocular Microscope, Body fat composition machine, Tuning forks and Water bath for conducting short studies as a part of RECline initiatives. Various review paper and short study projects pertaining to changes in blood pressure during menstrual cycle, variations of arterial blood pressure in various positions, prevalence of anemia and its relation to food habits were also undertaken.
