TEACHING STAFF

Royal Dental College gives utmost importance for the well-being of all its faculty thus ensuring a comfortable and fruitful working environment. All teaching faculty can avail the following welfare benefits as per requirements.

  1. There are two casual leaves per month which can be rolled over, if not availed, to the succeeding month within a calendar year.
  2. There is one Early Permission per month, with the permission to punch out of work 1 hour earlier than the stipulated time of 2pm. To avail the benefit, staff should submit the request form approved by respective Head of Department and Principal/Vice-Principal.
  3. There are two Late Punch-In per month with allowance of staff to mark their biometric attendance 10 min after the last permitted In-time of 8:10 am.
  4. Teaching staffs who have been in service for more than 1 year can avail two days of “Conference Leave” without loss of pay for attending any National or State conference on recommendation of HOD and submitting a written request to Principal. This benefit can be availed once per calendar year per faculty. Faculty are advised to refer the “Policy for Conference/Skill Enhancement Program” for norms.
  5. Teaching faculty who has been in service for more than 1 year can avail sponsorship for attending/presenting in National/State conferences, CDEs or any Faculty Development Program on submitting a written request to Principal. This benefit can be availed once per calendar year per faculty. Faculty are advised to refer the “Policy for Conference/Skill Enhancement Program” for norms.
  6. Teaching faculty who has been in service for more than 1 year can avail sponsorship for scientific publications in International and National journals on submitting a written request to Principal. This benefit can be availed once per calendar year per faculty. Faculty are advised to refer the “Policy for Conference/Skill Enhancement Program” for norms.
  7. Free accommodation for Teaching staffs in Staff Quarters and Hostels within the campus, subject to availability, on filling the application form available in Office with Administrative Officer/Principal.
  8. Accommodation at a subsidized rate can be availed for Teaching staff in Family Quarters within the campus, subject to availability, on filling the application form available in Office with Administrative Officer/Principal.
  9. Faculty can avail free services of College Bus to-and-fro from Kunnamkulam to Institution. Faculty is required to fill and submit the application form available in Office with HR to avail the same.
  10. Female Teaching faculty members who have completed more than 1 year of service in the Institution can avail maternity leave of up to three months on recommendation from their respective Head of Department. Prior permission is required the avail the same by filling the application form available in Office with Principal.
  11. Compensatory “Duty Off” is granted to faculty who are allotted any College related work during Sundays/College Holidays and beyond College working hours.
  12. OP Dental treatments are available for all teaching faculty and their immediate family members at subsidized rates.
  13. Faculty can access Gym, Yoga classes and other sports/fitness facilities within the campus without charges.
